    When Melinda’s youngest daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis, what began as a professional interest quickly became a personal mission. Immersed in the world of both high school and competitive cheer, she recognized how common pain, hypermobility, and postural asymmetry are in cheerleaders, gymnasts, and dancers. This inspired the creation of Biofunctional Pattern Integration (BPI)—a performance-based system designed to improve movement control, alignment, and power, which she later found could also benefit individuals with scoliosis and other movement challenges. From there, she developed Stop the Progression to educate and support those with scoliosis, and ultimately CheerX, a specialized injury-prevention and performance program helping athletes reduce pain, improve movement quality, and compete longer.
